phpMyAdmin via Cpanel kills sessions instantly

Hi, The following problem is new to me and appeared without specific action, but it may be worth mentioning that my VPS ip changed recently. Short description: My access to phpMyAdmin via WHM still works (no login/pwd needed after WHM login), but access through cPanel ask for a login/pwd that seems to work, but then the first action done by a user on phpMyAdmin does nothing (never ending processing message). Detailed description: - On the phpMyAdmin home page (where we see the list of databases), when the user perform an action (like selecting a database), the browser send and XHR that instantly return the login form that was supposed to be successfully passed. The phpMyAdmin UI doesn't handle this error nor display the form, i saw this page in the Chrome tools. - I've then monitored what is going on server side: 1. On phpMyAdmin first access (after clicking pma link in cPanel), a session file is created in /home/username/tmp/ 2. On successful login form submission, the session file is updated. 3. On the next action, the XHR headers show that the browser is sending the session id that match the session file on the system. But on the server side, the session file is destroyed and another one is created, and a new login form is sent. - i've removed cookies from browser, tried private window, and even another clean browser program. - i've added a new mySQL user account on cPanel for a user, same result. - i've run "mysqladmin reload" command - i've created a php script in phpMyAdmin directory, accessed it through the same url (with cpanel session id), and it successfully created and kept its session id on page reloading. - websites on the server doesn't have session problems. Versions: cpsrvd 11.46.2.4 / pma 4.0.10.7 / php 5.2.9 on CentOS 5.11 I didn't know if this has to be posted on forum or as a support ticket. I've found similar problem described, but not that one (i think i've spent a whole day on this problem) Thank you for reading, any help or potential solution will be welcomed :)

Setting the same password in cPanel as new one solved the problem, thank you ;)

I'm having this problem with multiple accounts on one server. I've tried changing the password, force reinstalling phpMyAdmin, creating a .my.cnf file, all that failed. I think I solved it by changing the MySQL password directly (having it match the new cPanel password), or maybe by the forced upcp I run. It would be great to have a serverwide fix for this.
