I noticed I'm getting a lot of viruses mailed to the cpanel. Am I safe?
I ran a clamav scan on the mail and found a bunch of viruses, even though just a couple months age i ran a scan and cleaned it.
My question is, if I never open any mails on the server itself (they are all sent to google apps), am I safe from these viruses? Or can they still hurt me if I don't clean it regularly?
Additionally, is there a way to circumvent this and prevent from ever getting emailed viruses in the first place?

Hello :) To clarify, are you still receiving emails on the cPanel server even though your mail is hosted by Google? Or, do you mean your messages are forwarded to Google? Thank you. 0 -

Hello :) I believe you are looking for the following option under the "Mail" tab in "WHM Home " Service Configuration " Exim Configuration Manager": "Allow mail delivery if malware scanner fails" Per it's description: If the virus/malware scanner fails, you can choose to defer all mail delivery that would normally be scanned by disabling this option. Note: if you do choose to disable this option and the virus/malware scanner fails, mail users will not get new messages until it is repaired. Thank you. 0
