Clear Trash on Logout no longer working on Roundcube + Paper Lantern
With 11.48 moving webmail onto Paper Lantern, the "logout" button is now in the cPanel parent frame, and not in the RoundCube application inner frame.
There is a setting in RoundCube > Settings > Server Settings > Maintenance named "Clear Trash on Logout".
With 11.46 and earlier, clicking RoundCube's "logout" button meant that the trash folder was kept clean.
With 11.48, there is no RoundCube logout button, and clicking the cPanel webmail logout button (top right of the whole page) doesn't appear to trigger RoundCube's "clear trash on logout" action - presumably as it isn't their logout that is being called.

re: [Case 161161] "Clear Trash on Logout" no longer working on Roundcube + Paper Lantern To update, I've reproduced this issue on a test machine and opened internal case number 161161 to address this issue. Please monitor our change log for the inclusion of this case number: 11.48 Change Log The current workaround is to manually empty the trash directory via Roundcube. Thank you. 0 -
This post was posted on Feb 4, 2015 and I have the same issue 'clear trash when logout' is not working . Can you give us an update on this please? 0 -
Hello :) The resolution to this issue falls under a plan to improve the overall Webmail experience. There's no specific time frame to provide for these changes at this time, but I will update this thread with more information as it becomes available. Thank you. 0 -
Hello @cPanelMichael, Do you have any updates? We are still experiencing this issue. Thanks, Fredrik 0 -
Hello, The case number was updated to CPANEL-8931. There's no update to report on the status of this case at this time, however I've linked this thread to to the updated case number and will update this thread with more information as it becomes available. I do want to point out that the following option exists under "WHM Home " Service Configuration " Mailserver Configuration": "Auto Expunge Trash" When this option is enabled, the system will remove messages in the Trash and Deleted Messages folders based on the expiration time configured for the "Trash Expire Time" option. Thank you. 0 -
Hello, To update, internal case CPANEL-8931 will fix this in cPanel version 70. Thank you. 0
