Hello :) I've opened an internal case to determine if this is by design or if it's a design flaw. For reference, the internal case number is 161445. I will update this thread with more information as it becomes available. Thank you.

]Hi, i use roudcube webmail as it tells me in the browser tab how many unread emails i have. because of the new theme, i can no longer see this, only webmail - main is there anyway to not use the theme or have the title put back. Thanks

We also would need this feature back in action. Also, if you choose to empty the trash folder when you log out, nothing happens. This is probably due to the new iframe system, but these functions are still needed.

Internal case number 161161 is open to address the issue where "Clear Trash on Logout" not respected in Roundcube w/ Paper Lantern. Thank you.

Internal cases are not viewable to the public. You can monitor our change log to see when resolutions have been released. There's no update on a time frame for release at this time. Thank you.

I'm still puzzled as to why my post on this thread, that was not a duplicate, nor disrespectful was deleted by a moderator. "Reason: There's no need to post to several threads about the use of iframes. The initial thread is sufficient." So, what if I think the initial thread is not sufficient? What if I want to join a conversation with other users that are affected about this issue? Is it a moderator's function to police what cPanel customers think about cPanel issues and whether our contribution to the discussion is necessary? Anyway, back to the problem in hand: Just give us the option of using Paper Lanter with the x3 interface for webmail, which essentially removes the iframe, and everyone can take their pick.

The general purpose of any forum moderator is to keep threads on topic. This isn't a new idea someone just came up with, it's how things are done on most any forum. Posting the same complaint/comments to multiple threads that may or may not be semi related, as you've just done again here, should be avoided. If possible, there should never be a need for multiple threads on the same topic. This thread, is in regard to unread email count in browser tab. If you've got new comments to make in regard to iframe issues, you should consider posting them to the other thread you already have going. I hope that helps explain things for you, stormy.

I know how forums work. I've been moderating forums myself since the times of ultimatebb and flat files. My comment was on topic, and I wanted to join a related discussion, about a different problem (the unread count that I'm missing as well), which stems from the same root. With all due respect, your style of moderating is counterproductive to the free interchange of ideas. You are not adding value to the forum, and I personally know several very knowledgeable people that have stopped posting in this forum and WHCMS forum because of this. Please let us discuss the issues and let us add value to the discussion. You are not the final arbiter of that - or you shouldn't be.

I did not remove your other post in question, and, I left the current comment intact, and quoted you.

Yes I know, you've mentioned it before.

I disagree, but again, I did not remove the post myself.

I've been moderating these forums since 2006, WHMCS since 2012. I'm not aware of any issues related to the free interchange of ideas on either forum. Your no fan of mine though, I get it, stormy. There is no need to be cross posting though, you know this of course, so I won't mention it again to you. But, I will continue to moderate and remove, or merge cross posts, as someone else did to your earlier comment.

Back to the discussion. The Paper Lanter navigation bar in webmail does look good (on a bigger screen) and it includes some functionality that was previously part of the webmail login screen. However, doing this via iframe introduces the issues discussed in this thread (unread count and empty trash), as well as the scrolling/display issues discussed in this thread:

Could you please delete my other thread, which really serves no purpose then? I haven't found a way to delete it:

    Back to the discussion. ...

That is not this what this discussion is concerning. You know this. I've asked Adam French to come by when he gets in today to address your concerns with Webmail. Please, do not continue to cross post. You already know what I have to do, if you do. Thanks in advance, stormy.

Final post on this. There are two different threads about two different problems. I'm interested in both. I haven't crossposted anything, which by definition is posting the same message in both threads. And then there's a customization thread I opened, which has no replies and offers no useful content, and I'm asking you to delete it. It doesn't have a case number. Could you delete that one, and let me participate in the others? Please? Ok, one more post - please remove our arguement from this thread, and anything that you deem not useful for this case.

    Agreed, and understood.

    I disagree.

You are able to participate in all threads, staying on topic is preferred.
Ok, one more post - please remove our arguement from this thread, and anything that you deem not useful for this case.

As you know from this and the WHMCS forums, I prefer not to delete anything if I can help it. Doing so changes the history of the discussion. In this case, between you and I. It is what it is. It could have been avoided. Please, lets try and avoid these sorts of disagreements going forward. Thank you in advance for understanding, stormy.

cPanelMichael, will it be possible for you to update this thread if there's a resolution to the internal case?

To note, the internal case for this issue was renamed to FB-161445. You can monitor our change logs to see when a resolution has been included with cPanel:
