] Apparently when he removes his email from the wordpress footer his email is delivered.

Hello :) Could you elaborate on where the email is coming from, and where it's sent to? For instance, is it sent from your server to another domain name on your server? Or from your server to a remote mail server? Thank you.

Thank you for the response. I have clarified some of the date from my client as follows. They sent an email with attachments to their major client with a footer that referenced their website [Removed]. I do not host their dns or their email, The email they sent resulted in the following report which was forwarded from their client that is on cloud semantic. When they resent the email and attachments without the footer referencing their website the email was passed. Message ID: <386063835D978B4ABDDDFF3C092A3AF1C51477@cmlsbs.CML.local> Virus/Unauthorized code: >>> Possible MalWare 'Exploit/Link.D-391ecf45ef448db673242d7fa2b2b6c6' found in '19333804T_1X_PM3_EMQ_MT__message.txt'. Heuristics score: 200 Their IT department claims that it is because my server is blacklisted on backscattered.org. I have two IPs one for email and it is not listed and the other for the web which is listed. i.e. [Removed] shows as blacklisted by backs caterer.org Hope that answers your question cPanelMichael.

It seems like the remote mail server has implemented a filtering rule or blacklist that blocks emails with URLs in their message footers as SPAM-prevention technique. You may want to consult with the administrator of that remote mail server to verify that's the case. Thank you.
