Php segfaulting when checking version or module list.
Hi all,
We've got a rather hefty server which has an odd and worrying problem.
I logged in via SSH and wanted to check which version of PHP it was running, when using php -v or even php -m
It pauses for about 30 seconds, then says:
root@xxxxx # php -v
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
What's the best way to go about diagnosing this issue? The php ini file seems ok, as it checks out with service apache configtest and all the sites on the server, run aok.
Any idea what might cause segmentation faults?
Apologies this is probably better in the general discussion area.
Additional information, the server is running php with SuPHP as the handler and it's running cloudlinux.

Hello, Diagnosing this issue would likely require advanced system administration skills involving debugging core dumps and tracing the process to see where it's faulting. I'd recommend opening a ticket using the link in my signature. If you want, please update the thread with your ticket ID so I can follow up :) 0
