Lock all changes to server?
Hi guys,
I wish I'd joined this forum years ago for your advice.
Is it possible to set WHM up - so it disallows any changes to your server from anywhere except your own IP address.
Not just log ins, and changes to whm or cpanel -- but all your files on your server as well.
Last week - hackers managed to upload a c99 file to my server - I don't know how they did it.
But if I could lock my server to disallow uploads, or file(php/htm/etc) changes - to anything - even from php files on my server. And only allow changes from sftp from my IP.
I'm hoping that would mean - even if some of my php code is weak (which - I'm working) - the server wouldn't allow the change.
I hope I've explained myself right - and thanks to anyone who can help!
Kind regards,
John

Re: Lock all changes to server?? @JohnnyBgood, For this kind of issues, you need to secure server properly and need to update the server software upto date to avoid this kind of hacking. Best malware removel, i advise you to use Antimalware Plugin for WHM pyxsoft.com this will remove infected file when we uploading via ftp or cpanel. Install clamav also LMD. 0 -

I am going through as many guides on how to secure my server as I can -- I'd really like to hire a freelance whm expert to come to my office for a few hours to lock my server down for me.]Best malware removel, i advise you to use Antimalware Plugin for WHM pyxsoft.com this will remove infected file when we uploading via ftp or cpanel.
When I read what this plug in does: - "The AM Plugin inspects all HTTP and FTP uploads in real time." Well -- what I would like to do is BLOCK all uploads via HTTP - and only allow upload via FTP from my IP address. This way - my site would be really secure. Is this possible anyone??? Thanks again for the help, John0 -
