Migrated our server to new hardware. Will no longer license.
We migrated our server running cPanel/WHM to new hardware over the weekend. Everything stayed the same from the OS standpoint. Same IPs, etc. Everything is running fine, except I can't get access to our cPanel/WHM web interface and it says it can't license.
We're running CentOS 5.11. The cPanel license verification site ([url=http://verify.cpanel.net/]License Verification - cPanel Inc.) reports everything is ok from your side. I've manually tried to run [COLOR="#00FF00">/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt, but it just sits there. Same thing if I run [COLOR="#00FF00">lynx -dump cat /usr/local/cpanel/logs/license_log I get this now:

- From our physical campus firewall standpoint, we have outgoing from this server allowed to ALL. Incoming is what's restricted. What port(s) does cPanel license servers use to check remote hosts?
- What IP ranges does cPanel use to send various requests (license or otherwise) from, so I can limit relay that to our campus firewall?

your DNS resolvers are not working hence the error "Timeout while resolving nameservers using root nameservers" 0 -
Hello :) Are you using valid resolvers in your /etc/resolv.conf file? Does it make a difference if you use Google's public DNS resolvers (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4)? I recommend consulting with your provider again and have them double check that outgoing connections to ports 2089 and 80 are not restricted. Thank you. 0
