WHM Backup Questions

hello, I have a question: Whats the difference between backup and legacy backup? Which should I use? Can I backup my WHM/cPanel on a windows local ftp/server or should I use a linux server for backup? Is the OS for backup-ftp-host important? Or is the filesystem (FAT32, NTFS, ext2, ext3) important for backup? I want to backup my complete whm on my home-pc by using a local-ftp-server... thanks for your help...

  Hello :) There is no reason to use the legacy backup system. It's provided for administrators that have custom configurations and can not yet make the changes needed to transition to the new backup system. The "Backup Configuration" page is documented here: Backup Configuration Any type of remote server that accepts FTP connections and uploads should work fine. Thank you.
