unpark a domain and change to addon keeping emails and data from parked

I have a major problem, that I just cannot think how to fix.. I have an account on my WHM/Cpanel which has a parked domain, and it has to be changed to an Addon domain. This is because I need an SSL installed on the main and the parked domain, and I am told this can only be done on a main and addon domain, not main and parked The problem for me, is that the parked domain has 70+ email accounts on it Unparking the domain will I believe delete all the data, emails atc How can I change the parked domain, into an addon domain, without loosing all my emails and data from the parked domain? Any help or suggestion is appreciated Steven

  Howdy, Before you do anything MAKE BACKUPS! /Disclaimer So you can always copy the mail folders and password file from ~/mail and ~/etc/domain.tld/ and move it over to a full account. Otherwise you could manually attach the ssl certificate via an include in /usr/local/apache/conf/includes/post_virtualhost_2.conf. I know both of these stink but they could do what you're looking for. Thanks!

  Agree on making a backup first! That said, I think if you are fairly quick, you won't lose the email accounts. i.e. remove the parked domain, and immediately add it back as an add-on domain. You could test this by creating a test account, add a test parked domain, add a couple test email accounts, wait to let it all bake (15 mins?) and then try to remove the parked domain, and add it back as an add-on, and see what happens. Or go big and just try it live, knowing you have a backup to restore. :-) Let us know how it goes! - Scott
