File Manager - Trash... expires?

Hello, Can anyone advise how the Trash on the File Manager works: 1. Do files on the Trash expire / get deleted after certain period? 2. Do they account for the accounts' disk quotas? I am pretty sure they do, but just to confirm. 3. Is there a way to flush all Trash folders from WHM? Many thanks!
