Mail server could not deliver mails
Hello There,
for the last two weeks, I have been experiencing mail delivery challenges to a particular external mail server of my client.
I have done all the correct settings as per the required MX records and entered the correct DNS setting in the domain.
After doing all that, I am still experiencing the below mail delivery error.
I have tried my best to troubleshoot it but to no success.
Any one with a solution, I will highly appreciate.
The mail server could not deliver mail to momusamia@192.168.xx.x. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries

That's not an email address. 0 -

I'm going to assume you entered "192.168.xx.x." as an example of the actual domain name. Is that correct? If so, could you review a website such as IntoDNS and verify the MX records resolve to the cPanel server? Thank you.0 -
Hey, Thank you for your response. The 192.168.xx.x IP is the local static IP Address of the Microsoft Mail Exchange server handling my clients mails. The server has a public IP of 197.220.126.xxx which I have reflected it in the CPanel MX record for mail.clientsdomain.com and given it priority 10 I have configured the DNS Settings of the domain well as reflected below clientsdomain.com IP 184.107.213.xxx which is the dedicated IP for the clients website am hosting mail.clientsdomain.com IP 197.220.126.xxx which is the public IP for the remote mail server TXT SPF record for the domain is "v=spf1 mx a ptr ip4:184.107.213.xxx/29" Having done all that I am still experiencing the same problem. Am getting the error The mail server could not deliver mail to bdps@192.168.99.9. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries. I am really frustrated by this error, The server can send mails for all the other hosted accounts. I have tried my best to resolve this but to no success, any help please. Thanks 0 -
Please ensure your domain name is added to the /etc/remotedomains file on your cPanel server and not the /etc/localdomains file. You can save this configuration by selecting "Remote Mail Exchanger" under the "Email Routing" section in: "WHM Home " DNS Functions " Edit MX Entry" If email is handled remotely, it might be your remote mail server configuration that's causing this issue. Thank you. 0
