Legacy Backups with Remote FTP (Accounts Only)

Hello, Just a small query. Will the option Remote FTP (Accounts Only) in Legacy Backups, retain the Compressed Account Backups locally (at Backup Destination)? If so, will those be deleted after some interval? :confused:

    Hello :) No, those backups are removed after the transfer to the remote destination via FTP completes. Is there a specific reason you prefer to use the legacy backup system instead of the new backup system? Thank you.

    Hi Michael, Thanks for the reply. The reason is, I have a server with around 15 large accounts and several small accounts. So the small accounts are being backed up using Backup Configuration and the large accounts are being backed up with legacy backup option. I have set both crons at different time to avoid server load during the large account backup. Is there any way, I can keep the files from Legacy Backup on Local disk? Like there is option in Backup Configuration? Thanks.

    Also, is there a way to increase FTP Timeout for the Additional Destination in "Backup Configuration"? Currently it can be set between 30 and 300 seconds. As it is timing for some large accounts. Mentioned in

    You will need to utilize the new backup system to take advantage of the new features such as "Additional Local Backups" and remote destination timeout configuration changes. You can browse to the "Stats and Logs" tab in "WHM Home " Server Configuration " Tweak Settings" and modify the following option: "Extra CPUs for server load" Per it's description: The load average above the number of CPUs at which cpuwatch, cpanellogd, backups, and CPU stats consider the system to be in a critical load state. For example, a server with 4 physical CPUs and a value of 2 in this field will be considered "critical" in these cases once the load reaches 6. Thus, you can ensure backup generations are suspended when the load reaches a certain point. Thank you.

    Okay Thanks. Last one: When it says Retain 'n' Daily backups in New "Backup Configuration", does it mean it retains backups of 'n' number of days or retain the 'n' number of copies of the days selected in the Daily Backup. e.g. If the Daily backup is selected with Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. And I have set the Retain Daily backups to 3. So does it save the 3 copies of (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) or will it keep the backups for 3 days (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) and remove the oldest 4th day (Monday) backup. Hope you get my explanation.
