Backups are counted in users web limit?

Hello I have selected to retain 4 backups and selected to keep them in local backup folder but I see that those are counted in users webspace limit and lots of my customers have ran out of disk space. I don't want to do this. Is there a way? Thank you.

  Hello :) The account backup archives should have root ownership and not count towards the user's disk space quota. Do you see the ownership set to "root" when running "ls -al" on the directory the backup archives are stored in? Thank you.
