Suddenly more than 30% of the sites on my server are not resolving but Ping OK

I have restarted the server and all the services (made no difference) still more than 30% of my sites are not resolving. Checked it out on IntoDNS.com and the only complaint there was a lack of a PTR entry. It may be a coincidence that this was after a major failure of the Data Center network. All Sites ping OK by domain name. Getting no help from my loco hosts who replied "welcome to Loco we supply power and bandwidth"

  LOL my first thoughts exactly but since this is my own server it would be costly to relocate. So any thoughts on a cure for the maladies mentioned?

  Hello, You could run traceroute to your domain name from your computer to see where the connection is failing. This might help your data center pinpoint where the fault is. Thank you.

  If the name servers are correctly configured, then there's really nothing further you can do to ensure the domain name resolves. You are welcome to open a support ticket with us so we can verify the DNS is setup correctly, but we won't be able to troubleshoot any network issues related to your data center. You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.
