About express transfer
An express transfer performs the following actions on the remote server:
...
2. Whenever appropriate, changes the domain's nameserver entry to point to the destination server.
...
Does anyone know where this facility finds which nameservers it decides to use? What criteria does it use to decide "Whenever appropriate"? It seems really odd that it would want to change nameservers when domain names will have nameservers already set at the registrar, and it is simply a case of updating nameserver registered IP addresses where necessary. Currently it appears to be completely irrational. This tool is great except that you should be able to choose whether or not you want to have each option performed during the transfer...
Yes, I will raise a feature request, but that should not deter discussion of what is an almost great tool with quite deep flaws. It should also recommend lowering the TTL on things such as the A entry (and even the nameserver TTL) on the DNS zones on the source server which would reduce the period of time in which the user account may experience the Site has Moved page. Thanks in advance for your input...

Hello, What criteria does it use to decide "Whenever appropriate"?
The term "appropriate" in this instance refers to the name servers having correct from (e.g. correct number of dots, no asterisk, two name servers).Yes, I will raise a feature request, but that should not deter discussion of what is an almost great tool with quite deep flaws.
Feature requests actually encourage feedback and votes from other users. Feel free to post the link to the feature request you open after it's been approved. Thank you.0
