Monthly backups to Glacier / Google Nearline Storage
We have the new backup system running incremental backups to a local disk at each server, but we'd like to replace our current Idera backup for disaster, replacing it by uploading compressed fullbackups to Glacier or the new Goolgle Nearline Storage.
Can anyone point me into the right direction to do this?
I've fought about configuring legacy backups for this, leaving the new backup to incremental. Any possible problems of having both legacy and new backups enabled?

Hello, I suggest using compressed backups because remote destinations are not supported with incremental backups. Also, yes, it's acceptable to have both the new backup system and the legacy backup system enabled, however keep in mind the ultimate goal is to remove the legacy backup system from the product at some point down the road. Also, you may want to modify the time at which one of the backups starts in order to avoid load issues. You can do this via: "WHM Home " Server Configuration " Configure cPanel Cron Jobs" Thank you. 0
