IMAP internal network error with Outlook
Hi cPanel staff,
How are you? I am experiencing an issue with a server that I hosted in my house with cPanel installed on CentOS.
Outlook's Setting:
Windows 7 Setting
Router's Setting
When connecting outside of the same LAN with the server (via 3G/4G..etc)
When connecting on the same LAN with the server

- 25 for SMTP no encryption

- Windows 7's firewall is turned off
- ]

- Port 21~80 are forwarded both on TCP/UDP
- Port 110~140 are forwarded both on TCP/UDP

- Can receive email via IMAP
- Can send email via SMTP
- ]
- ]
- Cannot receive email via IMAP, the connection is failed.
- Can send email via SMTP

Hi, thank you for your promptly response, the exact error states as follows: Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for xxx@xxx.com.' reported error (0x800CCCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for xxx@xxx.com. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' After days of browsing thru online, I found this solution. 0 -
Hello, Have you considered disabling port forwarding on your home router to see if the issue persists? This is really a system administration task for your home computer/network as opposed to an issue with the cPanel server or configuration. Thank you. 0 -

What does it mean by "spamd: connection from localhost" ?
Hello, It's stating that your local server is connecting to the "spamd" service. Are you still experiencing these error messages? Thank you.0
