Redirect webpage to another server

I want to redirect our website to another ip, whilst retaining mail on our server. Can this be done with the domain nameservers pointing to our server? is it just a case of redirecting the cname record of the www. domainname .com to another server A record in the advanced DNS zone settings?

  Hi, Simply point the 'A' record of the domain to the remote server. This should be enough to point your domain, but depending on your DNS configuration, it may point mail as well. You should ensure this is not the case. Locate your MX record(s) and ensure these have 'A' records corresponding to your desired mail server IP. Finally, at the bottom, ensure the mail is set to local, or the Automatic setting properly identifies the local server as the mail server. Thanks,

  Hello, Yes, this is possible. As mentioned, simply update the "A" record of your domain name via the "Edit DNS Zone" option in WHM so that it points to the remote server's IP address. Thank you.
