    Hello, For this type of backup setup, I will suggest you install cPremote backup plugin for the backup and enable incremental backup. With this plugin you can setup remote FTP backup with incremental format so that you will get any performance issues in the backup time

    Hello, It's important to note that even when you store backups on a remote server, the backup generation process still occurs locally (the local backups are pruned after transportation to the remote destination). There is a feature request and response from a developer at:

    Yeah I came across Cpromote and it looked ideal but I was put off by a few forum posts elsewhere from people who had issues with restores. Might be worth another look
