Problem with e-mail marking as spam after migration
Hello!
I have the following questions regarding DNS configuration:
My configuration is the following:
[LIST]
cname mail.domain.com points to domain.com
ptr: domain.com
Q1. Can I leave such configuration or I must change the ptr to mail.domain.com?
I have multiple domains each with the configuration above (the domains are migrated from other servers with other IP's). I was configured the server for and I got 8.7/10 (not spam).
" only (I have seen a lot of domains for shared hosting on Whois blocklist database but there are no problems with mail delivery to Gmail Inbox folder).
Q.2. If the DNS has been replicated to DNS servers, where can be a problem?
Q.3. Can my DNS configuration described above be cause for mail marked as spam in Gmail for all except one domain (all the domains are with identical DNS configuration and this can be seen on message headers)?
I have added the message (which is taken from Gmail Spam folder) header to attachment for reference.
Thanks!

Hello, 1. Typically, the PTR record for an IP address should resolve to the hostname of the server. However, if your domain names are sending from their own IP addresses, then modify the rDNS for the IP address of each domain so that it points to that domain. 2. I'm not sure I understand this question. Could you elaborate? 3. I suggest contacting Google to determine why they have marked your mail as SPAM: 0 -
I am happy to see the issue is now resolved. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
