Backup Keeps Disabling

I have a new VPS server running WHM/cPanel. I have setup backup the way I've setup many times over on different servers. However, for some reason backup keeps getting disabled. When log into WHM and go to Backup > Backup Configuration and see it is disabled, I also notice that when I re-enable it, all the original default settings are back (ie. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday checked with 5 days worth of retained daily backups, etc.). It seems that it keeps getting reverted. What can I do to stop this?

  Hello, We are not getting such issue with our any server. Have you checked your cpanel access logs and error logs ? Also you can setup attributes for the backup configuration through SSH, But first try to find out exact root cause of this issues, check the cpanel access and error logs file on your server.

  Hello, Do you notice any particular error messages in the backup logs found within the /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup directory? Do any other administrators have root access to the server? Thank you.
