Possible NAT issue
We are moving all of our cpanel servers over to VMware and they will be using NAT. Everything works for the most part but I am not able to get a web site from one server to complete a curl request to a second server using the URL of the second web site. The error from curl is error number 7 (connect failed).
When I try to telnet to server 2 from server 1 over port 80 the connection fails but I am able to ping server 2 from server 1. I would think if it was a vmware problem then ping would not work.
I have turned off the firewall in VMware so that would not be a factor here.
Can anyone provide any insight into what the problem might be?
*Edit: A further test has revealed that I am not able to perform a curl request between two web sites on the same server so my issue is not limited to server to server. I have also verified that curl is working for requests to external servers.

Hello, Are you using the local network address or the public IP address of the remote server? Have you reported this issue to your data center? Thank you.0 -
make sure the firewall is also disabled in your OS 0 -
It sounds like it doesn't have an internet connection but may have a local network connection. Can you confirm that? 0 -
I am happy to see the issue is now resolved. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
