data storage in linux cpanel server
Hi, i'm a newbie here
recently the hosting server i look after died due to a motherboard failure. the engineers tried to replace motherboard but failed to get my server started. The company has set me up with a new server which is operational now. and i've recreated all accounts based on data i hold.
My question is, how easy is it to recover the data from the old server drives. I need to retrieve:
- Mysql data
- client websites
- email data for those clients who used IMAP, including any folders they created and data within
Any advise would be appreciated

Hello, It's a better idea to restore the accounts from backups that were generated through cPanel or the backup script. Were any of the accounts backed up, or do you only have access to the raw data? Thank you. 0 -
This is my problem, no backup. in the 10 years i been providing this service never had this kind of problem. The company i rent the server from, obviously made the package attractive for my to use them (never again). They have the drives from the server which they could not get going. Everytime i contact them they keep say data retrieval is going on. Its going to be the raw data I'm going to be using, hopefully All I want is to identify from the raw data state and how to move it, the folder locations of: - mysql data - website data - imap email data including location of folders that may have been created to store emails 0
