Dovecot Sync to remote server

We have a secondary server WHM server. We want to sync mail between the 2 servers. I understand we could use dovecot sync but I am not sure what the implications may be from a cPanel perspective (if any)? Is there any risks we can run into (like corrupt mailboxes)? Thank you!

  Hello, There's no native support for synchronization of mail between two cPanel servers. Thus, we won't be able to support any issues that arise with a custom configuration. You might find the following feature request interesting:

  Hi Michael, Thank you for your feedback. I understand from a disclaimer perspective and understand that a custom implimentation does not carry warranty. In principle though, do you foresee any issues if the implimentation was done according to the Dovecot documentation for their replication process?

  I've not seen any reports from any other users who have attempted to configure dovecote synchronization so I can't speak to it's success. You can edit the following file for local modifications to the Dovecot configuration:
  /var/cpanel/templates/dovecot2.2/main.local
  Note: You can copy this file from /var/cpanel/templates/dovecot2.2/main.default if it does not exist. After making the custom modifications, you must run:
  /scripts/builddovecotconf
