Filtering domains
Hi folks,
New member here hoping you can shed some light!
I want to send all email from .science, or .us, or.eu, or .work to my SPAM folder and eventually, when I have confidence, delete it instead. I do not see anything but SPAM from these domains. So first question I would think is is this a bad idea?
I have SpamAssassin set to mark any SPAM over 4.5 and send to my SPAM folder - not delete. I have Account Filtering set to delete and email marked as SPAM with 9 or more of a rating. This works.
I now try adding the following as my first filet and if there is no spam, or less than 4.5 for these emails, the message stays in my inbox. If the message is higher than SPAM 9, it does not delete it if with one of these TLD's (does with other emails), but then sends to the SPAM folder and I would think should have been deleted. The delete filter is my second in account filtering. SO it appears it send email from these TLD's to SPAM IF and only if the SPAM level is 9 or above. Makes no sense to me.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks so much!!
Also, will be out for most of today so replies will likely be tomorrow.

Hello, Could you attach a screenshot of the exact filter rules you have in place so we can attempt to replicate the problem? Thank you. 0 -
I had it there. A moderator removed it. No idea why? But, it seems I have this working now. Was the order of filters and if I stopped processing after the filter ran. the one thing I would really like to know is if anything from .eu, .science, .work or .us is anything other than SPAM? I hate to delete them wholesale, but very tempted to to remove this problem. ~Bob 0 -

Hello, I am happy to see the issue is now resolved. If possible, attach the working filter rule as an image directly to this post for others to see. Legitimate email is possible from those TLDs, so it's a decision that's up to you on how you want to handle those emails. Thank you.0 -
Thanks. right now I have things going to SPAM folder so I can view before I pull the trigger to delete. And then would ass "Stop Processing Rules" at the end. Tough call. But yesterday was likely 400 SPAM messages and today I am getting some below the radar with .com addresses, so not sure what I will do to make life workable with email again.
