ssh to cpanel using terminal issue
this is my first post, so i hope i'm posting in the correct topic. Anyways, im trying to ssh to my website's cpanel so that i can work on coding through my terminal... but.. it doesn't work.
I created a public and private key and put the private key on my computer and tried to ssh (already chmod'd the private key), but i get the error saying:
"ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer"
my terminal prompt to ssh is:
ssh -i id_rsa login_id@website_ip
I literally followed step by step from this video:

Any ideas?

Hello, Has your web hosting provider granted SSH access to your account, and have you authorized the key? If so, contact them to let them know that SSH access is failing. Thank you. 0 -
yes i went and authorized the key and enabled ssh, so not sure why its not working. 0 -
Were you able to consult with your hosting provider to verify if there are any special requirements for SSH on their servers? Thank you. 0
