upgrade to 5.6 - percona conflict

    What error message you are getting now ? Is mysql rpm still present on server. If yes then you have to manually remove it.

    Well, I found the percona rpms and used "yum remove" to delete them. Then everything died, because... well that was the running SQL database! So I had to re-install the rpms. I'm guessing that this centos 6.6 has percona pre-installed and as default database. Is this percona sql supported by cpanel?

    Hello :) cPanel does not support Percona. This thread is based on an unsupported version of MariaDB, but you can apply it to Percona as well:
