MySQL Upgrade
Hello,
I need to upgrade MySQL form 5.5 to 5.6. I see that it is a process of 7 steps.
Is it hard to make upgrade via cPanel interface, do I need to prepare something and does websites that are fully functional under MySQL 5.5 will work with MySQL 5.6.
Do I need to update something else before MySQL Upgrade?
Is there some official tutorial or video that shows those 7 steps.
Many, many, thanks to all in advance! I do please for help! :)
We use the latest cPanel version.
Best regards!

I will suggest you to backup your all mysql databases before proceeding with Mysql upgrade. Take backup in .sql format and keep it in one safe place. Once done then you can upgrade mysql from WHM >> Mysql upgrade option. 0 -
Hello :) The "WHM Home " Software " MySQL/MariaDB Upgrade" option will take you through all of the steps required to upgrade MySQL. I suggest backing up your databases beforehand, but beyond that, no additional steps are required. As far as compatibility, most scripts that function on MySQL 5.5 should function on MySQL 5.6. MySQL offers an upgrade document that lists the changes at: 0
