Problem with .orig files

GD guys. VDS from bluehost they told write on this forum because they did`nt know why cpanel do this. When cpanel did daily backup he did ****tar.gz and ****tar.gz.orig - and this file didn` deleted automaticly. For what cpanel make 2 backups?

  Hello :) Were these backups generated during the backup cron job as configured in Web Host Manager, or did the user generate the backup on their own through cPanel? Did the backup generate successfully? Thank you.
