Question about Anonymous FTP
Hello guys,
I have a situation with the anonymous FTP.
I want to access it via web browser - ftp://ftp.mysite.com and dont not want to be asked for login details.
I have made the necessary changes in WHM - enabled anonymous FTP logins and also allowed it through cPanel -> Anonymous FTP -> allow access to ftp://ftp.mysite.com
When try to access it via web browser, it is always asking me for credentials. if I try to log in via Guest, it says that "The share does not exist on the server". This happens via Safari browser. When try via Google chrome it is asking me only the first time for credentials. After that it logs in automatically.
Generally I dont want to be asked for credentials never. Do you have an idea how to do it ?
Regards!

You should trying searching the forums a bit more before posting, as this is a common issue. Try the username 'anonymous@domain.com' or 'ftp@domain.com'. Any password should work, but you may try the password 'anonymous'. 0 -
Hello :) Yes, as mentioned, you will need to use the "anonymous@domain.com" username unless the account is assigned a dedicated IP address, at which point you can just use "anonymous". Also, note that some browsers require different login methods for FTP, and some don't support FTP activity within the browser. Thank you. 0
