Transfer accounts to a new server both using WHM
Hello All,
I have around 400 accounts in one server and plan to move over to a new server. Both using WHM.
Question : is there any efficient way to transfer these accounts? so that when the file transfer ends, we just change the ns of each account to the new server, then after the propagation is completed the website all go up fine.
As in my previous experience, we will need to tweak some items in the new server for each account one by one: missing mysqli, home page blank, error messages in the home page, database error etc.
Appreciate your advise on this matter.
Thanks.

Hi, You can migrate the accounts using Transfer Tool option available in whm. Just login to new server Home >> Transfers " Transfer Tool and enter the detail of your old server. If previously you faced some issue in websites as you mentioned, then first configure the server like your old server, like For missing mysqli or other php modules, Just complile the apache (easy apache) with the same options/modules as of your old server. Hello There, Thanks. Yes. That is exactly what we have been doing. If there are only few accounts, that will be easy and very fast to transfer. But if we have hundreds of accounts, that will take some time and some changes may already happen in between we finish transferring the files and correcting the web one by one. Alternatively we can transfer bit by bit : by 10 or by 20 accounts for example. Still the question : is there a more efficient way of transferring the accounts i.e : by setting the same environments in the new server using WHM and just change name servers once the files are already transferred. Then all the sites are up fine. Thanks, 0 -

Hello :) There's no single command or step to duplicate all server settings, but you may find this thread helpful:0
