Hi Amit, Did you try to run the backup manually ? If yes, what errors you got on screen ?

Hi In the root Cron job file I see the following for backups #Backup scripts 0 1 * * * /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/cpbackup 0 2 * * * /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup The first one (/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/cpbackup) is the script for the legacy backup. The second one (/usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup) seems to be the script for the new backup. When I ran the first legacy backup (/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/cpbackup) it just reported Legacy backups disabled. After that I ran the new backup (/usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup) and it completed the local and remote backup. What could be the reason for it reporting an error and not running through the root cron ?

Okay somehow the backups are running now. I didnt do anything except run it manually once. I am not getting notifications though. I change the priority to high from low in notifications. My email notification threshold was set to high, and backup notifications to low. I hope that will start the backup complete notifications.

Update. After changing the notification priority to all backup events to high, I am getting backup complete notifications. The backups are happening properly now. Amit
