Hello :) Both AIM and ICQ notifications should function in cPanel version 11.50. Are you able to reproduce the issue with not receiving notifications, or is it a random occurrence? Thank you.

Could you let us know which version of cPanel is installed on your system? Thank you.

Latest stable version. I noticed that ICQ notification is very unstable. It used to inform me about completion of backup task. But I have not heard from it for weeks.

Please let us know if you are able to reproduce the issue after following the steps below: 1. Browse to "WHM >> Server Contacts >> Contact manager" 2. Set ICQ's minimum notification priority higher than "Disabled" 3. Set your test alert type >= ICQ's minimum priority level 4. Generate a test alert (e.g. suspend an account) 5. Check to see if the alert is sent. Thank you.

I set ICQ alert to High as below. I tried suspend and then unsuspend an existing account. No notification. I also tested creating a new account and then terminating it. Still no luck. It seems that ICQ is dead. When I tested it last month, it still works sometimes. Meaning, sometimes it sent me the notification and sometimes didn't. But now it is completely dead. I just check my ICQ number and password. Also check the ICQ app in my iPhone.

What happens when you set the alerts you want to know about, to Low?

I just tested 5 to 6 rounds using different settings (High and Low). Nothing works. It seems that ICQ is gone. But why ICQ, it is so yesterday. Is there any other replacement besides the costly SMS?

cPanel staff looked into my case almost immediately after the ticket is created. Thanks for the superb support. Here is the reply: Thank you for your patience. I can confirm that these notifications are not being sent. I've even tested on my own personal server. I've opened a case with our developers to have them look into this further, as it has been an issue that pops up from time to time. The internal case number is CPANEL-808. I've tagged this ticket as being effected by this issue, so you should receive an email once the issue is resolved. I apologize for the inconvenience. In the mean time, I do see that you also have email notifications setup so you should still receive alerts in through that medium. -- Best regards, Seth Daughenbaugh cPanel, Inc. Technical Analyst
