Remote Mail Server
We would like to isolate our primary services to different VPS's where we have a cPanel server as the primary "web" server and then use a remote mail and MySQL server if possible.
I understand that we can setup remote mail, but I am not sure how this impacts the normal functionality of cPanel. Would clients still be able to manage mailboxes from their cPanel login if the server is remote? Is the above possible without impacting the normal cPanel operations?

Hello :) cPanel currently supports clustering for DNS purposes only. There is support to host your databases on a remote MySQL server, however beyond that, there are no native options that allow for email redundancy. You can setup a remote mail server, update the MX records for your domain names, and email is then handled on that remote mail server. However, note that customers will need to manage/create their email accounts on the remote mail server, and there's no integration with the existing cPanel server. Thank you. 0
