MariaDB Version - Moodle Not Supported
Hi,
Environment:
Latest 'CURRENT" version of cPanel (11.50 - Build 22)
MariaDB
LiteSpeed
We've run into an issue with several of our clients whom receive the following error message when attempting to upgrade their Moodle instances:
"Upgrading: Error: MySQL minimum version of 5.5.31 not met (installed: 5.5.5-10.0.20-MariaDB)"
The problem seems to occur while running MariaDB (eg. Moodle 2.6 - Moodle 2.8).
Are there any plans for cPanel to update MariaDB, if so when?

10.0.20 is the latest stable not really a cpanel issue but a MariaDB/MySQL issue 0 -
Hello :) Per the MariaDB documentation: MariaDB 10.0 is the current stable(GA) release of MariaDB. It is built on the MariaDB 5.5 series with backported features from MySQL 5.6 and entirely new features not found anywhere else. MariaDB 5.5 is the previous stable(GA) release of MariaDB. It is MariaDB 5.3 + MySQL 5.5. It's actually an issue with Moodle supporting the newer version of MariaDB. They have an open bug report for this at: 0
