FTP SSL per site
HI Forum,
So, I host 6 sites on my cpanel install and all the services work as planed. HTTP, Mail, FTP all work as they should and my developers can access each /home/user/public_html directory just fine with their specific accounts using FTP.
The problem is, we are trying to become PCI complaint and the one thing holding us up is the fact that the FTP program we are using (Pure-FTP) is using the default CPanel SSL to connect using FTP over SSL instead of the domains SSL cert.
This throws a bunch of "FAILS" because the default SSL cert is self signed, but worse yet, each of my customer domains are using the self sighed SSL too and should be using their own domain SSL certs. So, we get more "FAILS"
Now, I can get a "Normal" SSL cert for CPanel to use, that isnt a problem, but I will need to configure each domain to use their own SSL cert as well for FTP access.
Is there a way to configure each clients domain to use their specific SSL cert for FTP?
Thanks!
Joe

Anyone have any thoughts on this or ideas how to impliment? Thanks! 0 -
I believe there is a feature request for this. As far as I know the only non-apache service that has been implemented for this is email. 0 -

Thanks for the reply. Ok, so I guess the only other option is to use SCP for transferring web data. Thanks for the information! Joe0
