Where to begin!

I've tried reading through the start-up info about WHM and Cpanel but I'm getting more confused. I have access to WHM panel. Nameservers? What do I put in here - my domain names, an IP address - IP address of the host? I have domain names registered with my host and planned to start with these first before migrating the others. WHM is all new to me - I design [basic] sites for myself and a few others. I want to learn but my brain is not technical - I know more than I think but I understand it in a non-technical way: it's the language that throws me! Can someone please set out a very clear ABC example of each stage that is not so technical? When I've worked through the process once I'll be OK. Thank you.
