Spamhaus and blacklisting smtp sending blocked
Hi
When an ISP is blocked on Spamhaus which some our our clients. When ticked in exim configurator it does not allow customers to send out emails even if my server requires authentication is ticked. However when unticked it sends out fine.
Why is it checking outgoing against RBLs for sending?
Kindly advise
Thanks

Hello, Because when you enable RBL, It will prevent the access to your server from IPs which are listed in the mentioned RBLs, AS that IP's are already listed in RBL due to any reported abusive activities. RBL is blocking access to prevent spamming from already reported IPs. 0 -

Hello :) Per the option's description: Reject mail at SMTP time if the sender host is in the zen.spamhaus.org RBL. [INFO]. This option requires the use of a non-public DNS resolver. Public resolvers like Google or OpenDNS will not return correct results. It's rejecting the mail because the sender host is listed in the RBL. Thank you.0
