cPanel and Squid

Hey all, A question - is it possible to install Squid proxy server on a cPanel server? I am needing a proxy server to route HTTP traffic through. Reasons are that we run a SEO tool which need to run a few at a time on a few IP addresses. We need to be able to put in some IPs, it's port so the tool can run through them. Is this possible? Will this break a cPanel server?

  Hello, I installed SQUID before to use as a proxy for personal use and it works like a charm without issues so I guess you won't face any issues at all. Regards,

  Hello :) I've seen reports of administrators successfully installing Squid on a cPanel server. However, note that it's unsupported and we can't troubleshoot any installation issues or guarantee it will not break any cPanel-related functionality. Thank you.
