Unable to connect: Connection refused at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/HttpRequest.pm
I'm going to update my CPanel version from 11.48.4 to 11.50.
By default in my server the automatic update is blocked so i'm going to
check the options in Server Configuration --> Update Preferences
So when I Click in Update Preferences i get the following error
Unable to connect: Connection refused at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/HttpRequest.pm line 988.
A fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive.

Yes, this issue happened to me in EasyApache and it was a slow connection from cPanel servers, so I've waited about 2 hours till retrieving the files!!! About cPanel update I guess you need to open a Support Ticket to them. 0 -
Hello :) Could you verify if cPanel updates are still failing at this time when forcing a cPanel update via the "/scripts/upcp --force" command? Thank you. 0 -
Thanks, I solved the problem I had this file /etc/cpsources.conf so the support team suggest me to remove / rename this file, i did and the Update Preferences worked. Thanks! 0 -
I'm happy to see the issue is now resolved. That file forces a specific mirror, so it's likely a bad mirror was defined in the file. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
