Email: SMTP Authentification problem
Dear all,
I've connected my gmail account to my account through cPanel. About half the time the connection works fine and I'm able to send and receive cPanel mail through my gmail account.
But half the time I get an error message like this:
"Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
xxxxxxxxx@gmail.com
Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the relay mail.xxxxxxxx.net bymail.xxxxxxxx.net. [198.20.250.53].
The error that the other server returned was:
535 Incorrect authentication data
(SMTP AUTH failed with the remote server)"
What does this mean? How can I repair it?
Thank you!

Hello :) I'm referring to the Exim log located at /var/log/exim_mainlog. Your access level is listed as "Website Owner". Do you have root access to the server, or do you use a shared hosting plan from a provider? Thank you.0 -

Hi Michael, I use a shared hosting plan from a provider. I've emailed my provider to find out if they can give me this information. Thanks!0 -
You may also want to see if they can troubleshoot the error message on your behalf, as the mail delivery issue might be out of your control. Thank you. 0
