Creating an AWS cPanel Network
Hello. I am creating an AWS hosted network for my company website(s). I am having issue with the DNS, and how to set them up.
Do I need a separate server for each nameserver? i.e. ns1.mydomain.net, ns2.mydomain.net, they each being their own AWS EC2 Instance?
If so, how would I go about setting them up internally? Do I do the following,
[LIST]
set the HOSTNAME to the correct FQDN ns1.mydomain.net and ns2.mydomain.net
create an A Host Record at mydomain.net, and point ns1 & ns2 to the Elastic IP of the AWS EC2 Instances
and create a final EC2 instance for cpanel/whm, cluster the ns1/ns2.
Or am I doing something wrong?

I tried to follow that, but that was awhile ago. What confuses me in the setup is this. The DNS Servers ns1.domain.com, ns2.domain.com. The cpanel/whm nameservers during setup, are they the registar nameservers i.e. (godaddy or aws route 53), and is there anything else I have to setup locally in configs or etc on the server itself for it to work? 0 -

You will still need to configure the name servers like you would on any other server. There's a tutorial on this at:0
