Index of/ - when trying to access the site

hi forum, card.domain is the main domain. I tried creating a sub-domain (en.card.domain) in Hostgator via cPanel. However, when trying to access the sub-domain I am returned with the following. I can understand that the cgi-bin is empty. What am i supposed to do to overcome this problem? Regards

  Hello :) Ensure you upload the subdomain files to the appropriate directory associated with the subdomain so the content loads. For instance, by default, the document root for the subdomain is /home/$username/public_html/subdomain/. Thank you.
