Using X3 icons in Paper Lantern

At one point I saw something in the on line documentation about creating custom icons for Paper Lantern. I basically want to do this but use the X3 icons. I have located the icons on the server but I cannot find the discussion on how to use custom icons. Will someone please point me in the right direction?

  I used the script at command line to generate the new icons. /usr/local/cpanel/bin/sprite_generator --theme paper_lantern --style MyStyleName
