FTP account without write privileges

I have a web hosting account running cPanel 11. What I would like to do is set up an FTP account named vendor that directs to /public_ftp/vendor with all privileges, and another FTP account named customers that also directs to /public_ftp/vendor with only read privileges. I don't want the "customer" to be able to upload files or change/delete any files in /public_ftp/vendor. From what I understand, this can be achieved with folder permissions (755 for example) but I can't figure out how to make the customer account so it isn't also an owner under cPanel. Currently changing the file permissions either allows both accounts to write, or prevents both accounts from writing. Does anybody know of a way to do this? Thanks!

  Yes I have seen that one. Unfortunately that makes the folder read only for ALL accounts. I need the vendor account to be able to write to the folder, while preventing the customer account from writing. :)

  There are no native features for any type of FTP control in that regard. You can open a feature request with the possibility that such a feature is implemented in the future: Submit A Feature Request Thank you.
