After Update EasyApache All directories are Not writeable

I have update the EasyApache from WHM.Now i am facing some problem : 1) All my sites that are using wordpress now not uploading images.I have to manually change the permission of image upload folders to 777.I have read on many forums that 777 permission is not safe it should be 755.Before updating EasyApache upload folder is with 755 permission and working fine but now nothing is working fine with 755. 2) If i want to update my wordpress plugins it's not working.It is asking for FTP username and password.Before updating Easyapache not such things are required. Can anyone help me to solve this problem.

  Hello, Could you please provide output of apache error log? tail -f /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log Also which php handler is enabled on the server now?

  Hello Renjith, Now my problem is solved from your suggestion.I have checked my php handler in WHM - Service Configuration > Configure PHP and suEXEC.Here i have changed PHP 5 Handler value from DSO to SuPhp and all things are working fine now. I have read one article related to this issue on this link http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/php/choosing-the-best-php-handler Here problem with DSO handler is described in brief.Can you tell me if i want to speed up the php script with DSO then what i have to do to sought out the permissions problem that described on above link.
