resuming backup download

Mod note - moved post from 10 year old thread on similar topic. I have trying with a download manager. It always says the same, and does the same. In case of interruption it starts over and over. I trying download my website back up that is about 1.2GB/4.3GB. So some where something needs to be configured to support resume downloading. So how to do so? Any please, Thanks in advance.

  Hello :) Could you verify if the download works successfully when downloading it directly instead of through a third-party download manager extension in your browser? Thank you.
