ERROR! The server quit without updating the PID file (/var/lib/mysql/hostname.com.pid)

I had an error in mysql .. please help me because all of the database is not in backup. I restart mysql after performing an error like this service mysql start root@svr[/ home] # service mysql start Starting MySQL .. ERROR! The server quit without updating the PID file (/var/lib/mysql/hostname.com.pid). root@svr[/ home] # Help me please ... :(

  Hi Yogu, Welcome to cPanel forums. Kindly have a check at MySQL log file which is under /var/lib/mysql directory. The time you restart MySQL service, it should poll the errors. It will help you to troubleshoot the issues further. BTW, was the server rebooted recently OR a unclean shutdown/restart performed ?
