You can TECHNICALLY do this but you will have no redundancy meaning if the DNSONLY server goes down your DNS will be completely down. This is why it is recommended to always have your DNS on at least 2 different servers if not 2 different subnets or locations. The more nameservers in different locations the better off you are as far as redundancy goes.
Hello, I googled a lot trying to figure this out but unfortunately I failed. Question is: Is it possible to add 2 Nameservers to only one cPanel DNSONLY server or should I have a server for each nameserver? Current scenario is: cPanel Server: - Hostname: host1.example.com - Nameservers: ns1.example.com, ns2.example.com - DNS Role: Write-only cPanel DNSONLY Server: - Hostname: dns.example.com - Nameservers: ns1.example.com, ns2.example.com cPanel Server -> Changed the A records for ns1 and ns2 to point to the cPanel DNSONLY Server. Are all of these correct or I'm doing something wrong? Thanks,
